Over the Fourth of July weekend Claire and I were finally able to spend some time and reflect together on the amazing experience of working together to run our state-wide primary campaign for the U.S Senate. We set out last January to bring more attention to the critical issues facing our nation and the many opportunities that will exist if we act decisively to face them. We quickly agreed that we were successful in getting our message out to people across our great state in large part because of the tremendous support we received from our neighbors and friends in the Sanford and Springvale area. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to our work in any way, from those that helped with research and logistics to those that helped with collecting signatures and phone calling and everyone in between. We thank the Garnsey Brothers Insurance in providing us with office space and our local newspapers for their expertise in covering political elections.  We also want to thank all of the voters who supported us at the polls. Together we did make a difference in calling for common sense, substantive solutions to the challenges before us, recognizing that we can be a country that creates a future that will reflect the ideals of our nation.
