DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Sanford police said a 34-year-old woman called police to have her boyfriend removed from her residence after he allegedly grabbed her arm and throat. Police said the man fled before police arrived, but was found later at his home. He was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault.
UNCOOPERATIVE
Sanford police were called to Goodall Hospital for an uncooperative patient who was being involuntarily committed to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation. Police said the woman became cooperative after police arrived.
MORE HEADACHES
Police said a 20-year-old Saco man was summonsed for shoplifting at Hannaford Bros. in Sanford. Police said the man allegedly stole a bottle of Tylenol worth $14.47.
CAT BURGLAR?
Police responded to an apartment that two people allegedly broke into. Police said the people were relatives of the resident who was in jail and they were there to feed his cat. Police contacted the resident who authorized the people to be there.
PIPE DOWN
Police charged a 19-year-old Wells man with assault after he allegedly punched a 16-year-old at MidTown Mall. Police said the man had been hit in the face with a pipe earlier and went looking for the person who did it. The man allegedly asked a group of teenagers if they were the ones who hit him and when they denied it, he punched one of them.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE II
Police received a call about a man in a wheelchair beeping the horn of a “smashed up green van.” When police arrived, they issued the 24-year-old man a warning for disorderly conduct. The man was summonsed for domestic violence assault after another witness said the man threw a bottle of beer at a woman. Police said the man was released to his father and issued a criminal trespass warning.
