BATTER UP
Police responded to a vandalism complaint on Payne Street after a man’s girlfriend smashed the windshield of his truck with a bat.
THAT WILL LEAVE A MARK
Police received a call about a man and woman fighting on Lincoln Street. The man left before police arrived, but police found a bloody man in the area who fit the description given to them. Police said the man was uncooperative and refused to submit to arrest. Police said after the man was handcuffed, he slammed his head on the hood of the cruiser, causing dents on the car. Police said the 25-year-old man was arrested for assault, criminal mischief and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.
TEST DRIVE
Police said a York County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed the door of a car dealership was open and one of the widows smashed. Police said they noticed a set of keys for a Jeep was missing. Police said the Jeep was in the parking lot and police remembered seeing it pull into the dealership parking lot earlier in the evening. Police said the Jeep had somehow sustained $1,100 worth of damage.
FROM BAD TO WORSE
Police stopped a car for having a license plate light defect. When the officer talked to the driver, he noticed the smell of marijuana. The driver said she just came from a club where she had let a friend use her car. Police said she consented to a search of her car. A police drug dog indicated there were drugs in the woman’s purse. Police said the woman was charged with the sale or use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a useable amount of marijuana.
ASSAULT TIMES TWO
Police received a call about a man assaulting his father. When police arrived, the man assaulted the police officer and he was charged with assaulting a police officer.
JAGER HEISTER
Police summonsed a 22-year-old Waltham, Mass. man for stealing an $18.99 bottle of Jagermeister from Hannaford.
