Letter: Thank you Sanford, I will be leaving (Printed March 6, 2008)
Editor:
After four great years with the town of Sanford, I have accepted a new position as the Communications Center Manager for the City of Rochester, N.H. I would like to thank everyone for their kind words over the past two weeks. I have met so many great people during my tenure in Sanford and will miss all of you.
The town of Sanford has a great team of employees. Each department has very talented and dedicated workers. These are some of the hardest working people I have ever seen.
I would like to personally thank Town Manager Mark Green, who took a chance and supported me when I was promoted to the Director of Personnel and Human Resources. Mark has been a mentor to me and I appreciate everything that he has done for me.
Serving as the town’s first ombudsperson was truly an honor. I met hundreds of citizens who made my work exciting. I will miss the everyday interaction with the citizens, the Council, the press agencies and the town employees.
I will still be around, volunteering for the Sanford Mainers and supporting community events as I can. I look forward to seeing everyone at these community events.
Again, thanks for a great four years and I look forward to seeing you at future events. It has been a great pleasure serving the town of Sanford.
Jason A. Cole
