Romolo Carbone, Jr.

He was born in Boothbay Harbor Feb. 6, 1937, son of Romolo E. and Florence (Hodgon) Carbone, Sr. and attended local schools there.  Early on in life, Carbone learned the lessons of hard work and working with the public as his family ran the Boothbay Fruit Company for several generations. Carbone and Janet raised their family in Waterboro and he was employed at Cyro  Industries in Sanford for more than 25 years and bowled in the Cyro bowling league.  He was devoted to his children and was affectionately named “Pampa” by his grandchildren.  You could find him playing board games and cheering on his grandchildren at their many sporting events. He enjoyed the family run fantasy football league. He loved working in his vegetable garden and Friday night suppers became a tradition within the family. During the summer, his barbequing skills came in handy. He would treat his wife on Saturday mornings by having tea and donuts with the kids as she enjoyed some quiet time. He had a huge heart for his family and his home was known to be the doggie daycare for his four-legged companion, a beautiful black lab named Rebound.

She had plans to attend Tufts in Massachusetts, to study to become a veterinarian because of her love of animals. She enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, playing basketball and softball or just hanging out with her friends. She truly was one who would give the shirt off her back to help others. She always wanted to make others happy. She was such a trooper and had tremendous courage. She never complained at anytime during her medical treatments. Jessica M. Gill was an angel, as a child she had no fear. She was delightful and well- mannered and full of energy. I remember the day I spoke to her for the first time, when she was 3 years old.She and Sarah were so open and loving and accepting of the new Step-mother before that was a reality. She loved to swim. She love animal and my memory of her wanting a kitten that no one thought she would be able to catch, asking if she could have it. She was told if she could catch it she could have it and "Lisa" was taken home.

Her golden hair and baby blue eyes. She will always hold a place in my heart. She was my step-daughter, in my heart she will always remain. I was once told that all of our children are gift from God and he loans them to us for a while and then takes them home. Jessica like your step-brother Joey you are now out of pain. They are both in Heaven and they are happy. In God's time only 45 minutes of your time will pass and we will join you, I know you are waiting on all of us here on earth to join them. Jessica WE LOVE YOU and WE MISS YOU ALWAYS, but you never will be forgotten as We Shall always carry you in our hearts. I hoped One day I would see you again on earth but now I know I will see you in Heaven. You gave me so much happiness in my life and I will always remember those time. I wish all your family my deepest Sympathy and I pray that they will find peace in their hearts. It is not easy to lose our children but we always keep them in our hearts. I know your fathers family all loves you also, Aunt Rhonda Carter Uncle Randy and Aunt Starla Gill, Uncle Bill Gill and all the cousins, Tim, Tom Holcutt, Jeremiah Gill,Billie Marie Gill, Dustin Gill.
